Install GamerScream

GamerScream is available as a universal Mac DMG for Apple Silicon and Intel, and a Windows x64 installer. Use the download for your computer. An internet connection, microphone permission and the app access PIN are required to join voice chat.

On Mac, open the DMG and drag GamerScream to Applications. On Windows, run the setup file. The Windows installer is unsigned, so Windows may show an unknown-publisher notice; verify that your download came from the official release below.

Choose a name and enter the access PIN

Choose a display name and enter the app access PIN supplied by your group. There is no account registration. A new computer or an invalidated access session needs the PIN again.

The app access PIN and an optional channel PIN serve different purposes. Ask the person managing your group for the correct PIN.

Join your group

Select the same numbered channel as your friends. You can create a named channel with an optional four-digit PIN for a smaller group. Custom channels disappear after everyone leaves.

An internet connection is required. If you cannot connect, check your connection, access PIN and whether the voice service is available.

Microphone or sound missing?

Allow microphone access in your operating system, then select your microphone and output device in Settings. Check the microphone meter, gain and mute state. Make sure you and your friends are in the same channel.

Each player has an individual volume control. Check both the player’s level and the overall channel volume if only one person is quiet.

Voice, Activity and Push-to-Talk

Voice uses manual mute controls. Activity opens your microphone when it crosses the selected threshold. Push-to-Talk uses your chosen key while you hold it.

If a game reserves your shortcut, choose a different key and check your operating-system permissions. Do not assume every shortcut will work inside every game.

Adjust background noise

Set the RNNoise suppression level in Settings. At 0%, suppression is off. Try a lower level if your voice sounds clipped, and check your microphone gain and Activity threshold as well.

Updates and help

Use the packaged app’s update controls or download the latest stable installer from this page. If you report a problem, include your operating system, app version and the steps that caused it. Keep access PINs and private channel details out of the report.
